Adult Basic Education
Adult Basic Education (A.B.E.) offers a variety of classes to adults (16 years and older) who would like extra instruction for reading, writing, spelling and math: preparing for G.E.D., improving resume writing, computer and job-seeking skills. Adult students work at their own pace in an informal setting. Students can join at any time and attend as long as desired. General Education Development (G.E.D.)
G.E.D. classes are for those who want to prepare for the G.E.D. examination. A G.E.D. diploma is accepted by most employers, training schools and colleges. These classes are small and informal. Each person works at his/her own pace with the help of a teacher. Classes are free and no preregistration is necessary. For more information call (218) 208-0852.
Hibbing GED Classes are held at the following locations:
Hibbing High School:Tuesdays & Wednedays from 2:30-4:30 pm in room 113 (June & August 1:00-3:00 pm) (208-0852)
Hibbing Community College: (college prep) Mondays & Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30 pm in Fine Arts Building, F26 (263-2967)
Workforce Center: Alternate Mondays & Fridays 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30-4:30 pm (262-6777)
